Back to Work and Testing Magic Jack Plus

Today I am back to work and will be testing the Magic Jack Plus for the first time, I had been using the Magic Jack for over 3 years but it required being plugged into the USB port of my computer. This time I am testing the Magic Jack plus which can plug directly into the wall, your phone and router via cat 5 cable bypassing the need for a PC at all. This should in theory cause less jitter if you use your computer or you don’t have a lot of RAM or CPU power and multitasking could cause issues with the service. I wasn’t having any problems, but I needed to make my Magic Jack more portable for when I travel and I can’t bring my home PC with me.

Hence I will be operating using the Magic Jack plus this week for all my calls and will let my readers know if it is as stable as the regular Magic Jack which I use every day about 5-6 hours per day for 3 years straight. I use it with a standard phone and a cordless over the ear headset that supports a standard phone.

I have used it with my Logitech wireless headset before but the microphone isn’t as good and the audio sounds a little tinny compared to the standard phone and headset I was using so I only use that as a backup. Wish me luck in my Magic Jack Plus testing.
