I was inspired to write this poem while thinking about my wife and the time we spend together whether it’s dining, working together, enjoying some TV or simply hanging out.
Distraction
I just can’t tell
an attraction or distraction
or is this moment in time
simply an infraction
I just can’t figure
an easier way to say
spending time together
always wanting to stay
I just can’t fight it
urges to tout and shout
life’s just better around you
this is love, no doubt
