Gaming on Labor Day Weekend

Spent more time gaming this weekend than I have in a long time and it felt pretty good honestly.  I alternated between playing Magic the Gathering: Duel of the Planeswalkers 2012 on the PC and various Xbox 360 game demo’s with the kids.

We did learn that Ghostbusters Sanctum of Slime is a fun 3 player game and the boys want to play more than the demo in the future.

Meanwhile, Ilomilo was probably the most fun 2 player puzzle game I have played in years.  I haven’t played Portal 2 yet, but my nearly 5 year old and I played through all 9 levels of the Ilomilo demo and the puzzle games were fun and the simple mission to reunite Ilo and Milo together was a fun concept and my son was so excited every time we found a way to get together.  There aren’t a lot of kid friendly games for the Xbox 360 compared to the Wii, but Ilomilo is outstanding and highly recommended.

I also finally played the Batman: Arkham Asylum game and was very impressed with the gameplay, this was my first time playing it and I know it is critically acclaimed but I just haven’t gotten around to it.  The demo piqued my interest and I may pick it up in the bargain bin at some point, I definitely may want to get Batman: Arkham City when it comes out but this would be for the PC.

All in all, did a lot of chores and a lot of gaming but one thing I didn’t get much time to do was blogging this weekend.  It kind of felt good to take a break from the blogs just to game.
