My wife recently started a gluten free diet and this means we get to go out and try various restaurants that serve gluten free foods. Pizza places are in particular of interest as her quest to find the best gluten free pizza dough’s is an important one.
Well, Pizza Nova may have taken the cake for having the best Gluten Free Pizza out of all the places in Arizona and Encinitas we have tried so far to date.
Their Wood fired pizza’s are thinner but not cracker thin crusts, the Gluten free crust is thinner than the regular pizza crust and has herbs baked into the crust. My wife raved about the gluten free pizza crust and took the leftovers home.
Meanwhile I tried their “Pizza Nova” the pizza named for the restaurant, this pizza came with Smoked Salmon, capers, Fontina, Mozzarella and Goat cheeses with red onions and scallions. The pizza was delicious, flavorful and I didn’t honestly expect the 3 cheeses to work as well with the smoked salmon as it actually did.
Highly recommended that if you want some unique wood fired pizza or are looking for really great Gluten Free Pizza you should try Pizza Nova in Solana Beach.
