I was a sponsor in the Emperola $500 cash giveaway, I saw it as a good opportunity to branch out and reach an audience outside of my own readers and help bring in more following and fans from another cash / giveaway site in the hopes more will discover my own giveaways.
This is part of my plan for 2013 which is to invest more in giveaway sponsorships on other sites, and help grow audience and social media further as well. Sponsorships for giveaways have so far provided me a better return on investment as as far as social media growth goes than pretty much every other advertising mechanism I have tried.
Sure, I don’t mean buying following in bulk and getting a ton of cheap spam bots following you, I mean actual living people who follow your social media accounts and they tend to be interactive and join conversations too.
