Working on Social Networking Buttons
|
|
I am busy these last few days working on adding Social Networking buttons to all of my web sites, and I will have them up pretty soon on 3 of my 4 blogs. These will include buttons to LinkedIn, Twitter, Plurk, Zimbio, BlogCatalog, Digg, StumbleUpon, Technorati, YouTube and any other social networks that I belong to and collect friends on. I am becoming very active in the social network seen and whether you are one of my 500+ followers on Twitter, or a connection on LinkedIn, feel free to follow and connect with me on any and all social networks that you belong to. I try to keep consistant with my online ID across the board. I am known as Dragonblogger on every service except LinkedIn which I use as my professional work and use my real name.
Once I get my buttons established I look forward to building more connections with my readers and fellow bloggers.

Hola
Are you writing them social networking buttons manualy? Why not use the many social networking plugins available for wordpress?
Them social networking icons you’ve got currently are really cool, though.
If you do turn this social networking buttons of yours into a plugin, do let me know. I’d probably use them just because of them good looking icons. Hahaha..

I just noticed that I am one of your over 4,000 friends on SocialSpark. You added me right after I signed up, but I didn’t make the connection until now. I haven’t done too much with the friends option at SocialSpark. Do you find that it helps with your stats?

Social spark only brought me 65 direct visits in the past 2 months from Google Analytics, but where it really shines is how many people contact me with questions and ask me to mentor them. It is more for building social connections than for building traffic to your blog. Though I do get about $40 per month in paid opps from SocialSpark.
They are manual, but all in a table with same images, then I will just cut/paste the table on all my blogs. So easily portable for my blogs, I could send the code and with some URL changing the code could work for anyone. I would be willing to send the zipped images too. I don’t know PHP so can’t code a wordpress plugin or widget.
