It is too unstable, with some months making $500 and others making only $60, I can't seem to trust the lack of reliable income, even if it made $5000 or more per month, I know it could just as easily vanish the next. It is possible (Though perhaps not your aim) to make a living by blogging which would mean a whole new level of time for your family. You may want to consider the blogging as an investment in your future, an insurance policy against the uncertainties or jobs and putting your foot into the future of independent business owners.
