I had extensive doctor examinations a few years ago including EKG, Ultrasound, Cholecterol, LDL/HDL, Triglycerides…etc checked and I had a slightly elevated cholesteral but nothing else. The problem only occured when I lost 50 pounds and have been working out (particularly with the hand grips). I am due for another physical and I will bring up my cold hands to the doctor, one other issue and one of the biggest causes is anxiety and caffeine, which I have lots of (or used to) so maybe a factor too. Don’t scare me man.. I am not dying.

Hello Justin, Really? Cold hands? Have you read on the topic about peripheral artery disease (more general is peripheral vascular disease). The main cause is atherosclerosis. Same with a heart attack (myocardial infarction) where the small arteries get occluded by atherosclerosis (fat deposits), this condition can occur in almost everywhere including the hands and feet too (hence, peripheral). There are some tests that can be done to be sure like a doppler ultrasound. Of course, you can consult your doctor first. He'll check your pulses, temperature, color, pain (if any). Then a series of other tests. There are also other causes like Rheumatologic disorders. Inflammation that happens somewhere in the body, hands included.
